Web Site Development

Eric Wylie and his creative partners develop a variety of Web Sites to promote businesses, and Web Applications that help site owners solve business issues.

Since 2014, our sites use responsive design (sites that look good and are usable on a variety of devices like desktops, tablets and phones).

Property Rental Search & Listing Management

Client: Heritage Property Management - Iowa City, Iowa

This Iowa City business has a large portfolio of properties under their management. Eric Wylie and his development partner, Mike Hostetler of Square Peg Systems, created a Web site that provides searchers looking for rental units in this university town a unique, map-based search tool along with access to pricing and property details. Plus, site users can overlay local bus routes on the Google map when viewing a property location.

The custom administration system provides all of the tools needed to quickly update individual unit availability and information. We worked closely with the client to fully understand their process and needs to create tools specific to their business.

Service Organization & Membership Management

Client: Daybreak Rotary

This community organization requested a site that could be updated by their communication team, and also provide mass email and member profile/data management.

Features include an event calendar and information about the organziation. Additionally, members can log in to see "Member's Only" information and keep their individual contact information profiles up-to-date.

Sports News

Client: Metro Sports Report

Metro Sports Report is a site dedicated to the Cedar Rapids and Marion, Iowa, metro high schools and the 21 sanctioned high school sports, plus local college and professional teams. Eric Wylie's Web Site Philosophy

More than just a "presence" on the Web, your business needs to have a 24/7 method of letting potential customers know exactly what business you are in and how you solve problems for your customers. Your site should also give viewers a "feel" for the attitude of your company -- is your business young and aggressive, or are you older and more experienced?

More than ever, potential customers are investigating businesses on the Web before calling or visiting a store or office. People like to save time and know what to expect before they arrive. Use your Web site to make people comfortable and confident in your ability to serve them before they ever walk through the door or make your phone ring.

While HTML code and graphics are important elements and are the "work" of creating a Web site, I enjoy the business strategy and content planning just as much as the creative design. Helping clients decide what should be included in their site (and what shouldn't) and how the site should be organized for the best user experience is a rewarding and usually revealing conversation with clients. I also help clients explore other marketing strategies to promote their Web site and their business. A Web site should be just one part of several marketing tools employed by a business.
