Rates for Video Production, Web Site Development, Voiceover Recording & Communications Consulting

Many creative shops don't publish their rates. I'm not sure why. Smart business people like you understand that time, experience and equipment all have value, so I've provided my rates to help you with preliminary planning.

BUT, hourly rates don't give you the full picture. We need to have a conversation so that we can learn more about each other and decide if I can provide the best solution.

VIDEO: Half-Day On-site Recording
$725 /half-day
Up to four (4) hours of on-site video recording. Time includes load-in, set-up, recording, tear-down and load-out, and travel between sites within the same day.
20+ years experienced producer with HD video camera, tripod, light kits, lavalier and shotgun microphones, teleprompter, backdrops and chroma key screen.
Extra charges for travel days when going to/from sites outside of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, plus vehicle mileage, air travel, vehicle and equipment rentals, food and lodging, etc.

VIDEO: Full-Day On-site Recording
$1,250 /day
Up to ten (10) hours of on-site video recording. Time includes load-in, set-up, recording, tear-down and load-out, and travel between sites within the same day.
Extra charges for travel days when going to/from sites outside of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, plus vehicle mileage, air travel, vehicle and equipment rentals, food and lodging, etc.

VIDEO: Pre/Post Production
$115 /hr
Video Pre-Production, Scripting, Planning; Post-Production, Editing, Graphics, etc.

$85 /hr
Mix music and voiceover, audio file noise-reduction and adjustment.

Web Site Creation
$85 /hr
Website planning, layout/design, graphics, coding, research, writing, customer training, on-going updates, etc.
Plus charges for sub-contracted writers, designers, photographers, developers and other resources.

VOICEOVER: Commercials, PSAs & Promos
$50 /:30 minimum
Rates for voiceover services are based on frequency of use, market size, application, etc. Please send your script via email or call to request a quote.

Prices listed are for Finished Minutes of Audio based on 135 words spoken per minute.

You can create your own estimate by using the Word Count function in Microsoft Word or other text editors to count the total words for the voiceover/narration. Divide that number by 135 for the estimated Finished Minutes of audio. Actual time count of audio files at the end of production will determine the final amount due.

These rates cover approved scripts, sent to be produced/recorded as one project. Projects in which scripts/sections are sent in pieces over time will be considered new projects and will be priced from the start of the rate scale below.

Rates include voice talent fee, studio time, and editing to provide clean files ready to go for your project.*

These rates are for work performed at Eric's studio. Or, in lieu of using Eric's studio, these rates remain the same to cover travel and time spent at nearby studios.

Business / Internal / Corporate / Employee Communications Consulting
$85 /hour
Business communications planning, writing, on-site consulting, meetings, phone consultations, employee communications activities, presentation development, speech preparation and presentation coaching, focus groups and reporting, public relations and employee/corporate events.

NOTE for all rates: When contractors are required for specialized skills, charges for contractor time will be billed plus any time required by Wylie Creative Communications to administer and supervise the work of contractors.

All time-based rates/services have a 1/2 hour minimum, except for Long Format Audio and work performed through the On Hold Web Store.
